Today we can proudly announce that SOLOMUN will again be part of our festival in 2013! After seeing the crowd react to his stunning set at last year's Welcome to the Future Festival, we knew he had to be back in 2013.

Luckily for us, Mr. Deephouse himself is happy to return in order to play the closing set of the intimate and colorful FUTURE stage on July 27th.

It's going to be an extra special edition, as Welcome to the Future celebrates it's 20th anniversary this year! Unbelievable but true, it's been 20 years since our first parties at the Paradiso in Amsterdam: legendary events with artists like Speedy J, Underworld and 1001 more memories we'll cherish forever. But, of course, our focus is always on the next step: all the great music the future is going to bring us. 
For this seventh edition of the festival we welcome a stunning 49 dj's and live-acts on seven stages. A quality line up of the finest house, tech-house and techno our scene has to offer. The name of one of the headliners can't be revealed yet, so that's a little surprise we still have in store for you. All in all, this surely is the very best line up in the history of Welcome to the Future. 
This is the future. The future is now.

Did you know that almost all of our food has an organic source, that we use recycled materials to build our stages and that our generators partly run on waste vegetable oil? Or that we hand out free tapwater in reusable bottles?

But most importantly, our visitors have supported and believed in our green vision since the very beginning. Thanks to their never resting dedication we were able to plant more than 2000 trees during our volunteering days, build a music school in Nairobi by collecting guest-donations and recycle thousands of plastic cups during the event. 
And, to top it all off, more than 3800 visitors came to Welcome to the Future 100% emission-free in 2012: by bike.

Welcome to the Future has been a proud partner of the 10.000 HOURS project for years, and will be fully supporting it again this year. The project's aim is to help maintain and contribute to the hills and forests located at and around 't Twiske, our beautiful festival location. During this special day, which will take place on June 15th, a group of dedicated volunteers will be combining their powers to plant trees, clean up the forest, renovate children's facilities and help to create a good home for the local animals.

In 1993, music producer, writer and visionary Gert van Veen decided to throw his own house parties called 'Welcome to the Future' at Paradiso in Amsterdam. Artists like Underworld, Orlando Voorn and Speedy J rocked the legendary club on these first editions and the hungry Amsterdam party crowd experienced some of their first big House nights in town.
And still today, we don’t seem to get enough of it...

A forward thinking musical vision, an intimate location, cool people and an energetic atmosphere. Sticking to these principles for over 20 years, Welcome to the Future has organically evolved from a club event to a credible House & Techno festival.
